Did Someone Say “Kids Eat FREE”? 16 Restaurants That Will Save Your Family Money.

As a frugal travel mama, the words “KIDS EAT FREE” are music to my ears. Can you relate? After all, taking a growing family out to dinner is not cheap by any means. Between drinks, food, and a tip, you can barely escape any sit-down restaurant without paying at least $50.

All that said, a kids eat free option combines the best of both worlds—taking a night off of cooking and cleaning up dinner, and saving money while doing it. So, today, I’m sharing my favorite, easy-to-find, nationwide chain restaurants with “Kids Eat Free” options to keep in your back pocket for those vacation (or non-vacation) days you just don’t feel like spending time in the kitchen.

PLEASE NOTE: Kids Eat Free participation does vary by location. Before heading out for a free kid’s meal promo, be sure to call your local restaurant to make sure they are offering the listed promotion.

Many local restaurants also participate in Kids Eat Free evenings. And, there’s a free app to help you scope them out! It’s appropriately named KidsEatsFree.

My family loves Kids Eat Free nights so much that we even keep a list of our favorite local restaurants on our fridge to remind us of those that offer specials during each night of the week. It comes in handy after a long day of working and taking care of the kids so we can all get out and enjoy a meal without the need for anyone to put in extra hours in the kitchen!

And, here’s a bonus Frugal Travel Mama tip for you: be sure to do your research on Kids Eat Free nights in the destination you’re venturing to before you head out on your next family vacation. Personally, I love asking the locals as they usually have the best insight on cheap eats in the area. Then, schedule out your dinners based on the local and chain restaurants offering specials.

Doing this can easily save you $$$ and keep your vacation budget in check—especially depending on how many kids you need to feed. Happy frugal eating, travel lovers!
